Charleston Place Hotel is one of the finest hotels in Charleston, SC. One of only a handful of Orient Express Hotels in the country it is beautifully appointed throughout. Charleston Place is ideally situated right down town within easy access to the fantastic pet-friendly shops on King Street, the walking tours of the Historic District, the carriage rides and the rickshaw taxi's...Beau adored the rickshaw ride...the wind blowing his ears back...

Although a pet-friendly hotel property, your pet will have restricted access in the hotel. Access will not be granted to the pool, workout, spa areas, or any of the dining facilities, (even the outdoor patio at the Charleston Grille) so off-site pet-friendly plans are important, especially for meals. A lovely hotel that does a large amount of tourist, function, and business meetings, the lobby is always a-buzz with activity and you are welcome to enjoy a cocktail there with your well behaved, leashed pup.

Charleston Place welcomes pet guests of all sizes and charges an additional $75/stay pet fee. Upon arrival in the guest room Beau was greeted by a plastic water bowl and a baggie of treats from Three Dog Bakery, one of his favorite shops! Charleston Place also provides a door hanger to let people know that there is a dog/pet in residence, which I always find helpful. Once you hang this tag on your door however, the responsibility to arrange when housekeeping will come to clean the room is yours.
