HARLESTON, S.C. -- With South Carolina writer Pat Conroy's novel "South of Broad" on the best-seller lists, you may want to glimpse places he writes about in what he calls his "love letter" to a coastal city.

A vacation package starting Monday allows just that. For $699 weekdays and $799 on weekends, a couple gets a two-night stay in an historic inn, a two-hour walking tour through Conroy's Charleston and a Lowcountry dinner.

Conroy, who attended The Citadel, lives on Fripp Island near Beaufort.
