Carolina Catering is the latest culinary venture from Crew Carolina, LLC, parent company to two Boathouse Restaurants and the legendary Carolina’s in downtown Charleston.

Seeing a need for a traditional seafood restaurant, Richard Stoney, a native Charlestonian and former attorney, opened the doors of the original Boathouse at Breach Inlet on the Isle of Palms in 1997. The menu delivered a much-anticipated boost to the local seafood scene. With success came an additional location in historic downtown Charleston on East Bay Street.

In January of 2004, Crew Carolina purchased Carolina’s, a landmark restaurant in downtown Charleston on Exchange Street. The beauty of Carolina’s was enhanced by structural updates and cosmetic work inside, including a gleaming new kitchen.
